contains 28 A4 pages containing in excess of 2500 well
described and profusely illustrated Lots in full
colour.
Auction 122 has only a limited array of collections
and remainder lots on this occasion, but the Australian perfins
lot (Lot 2) will produce good results for the buyer at
estimate.
The Australian Kangaroos section has a minor array
of specialised items, the best being the rare third watermark
2/- Brown “Inverted Watermark” – Lot 24.
The Australian King George V section includes a
useful array of around 200 Lots including an excellent range of
ACSC listed specialised material with estimates ranging from $5
to $300.
The Australian Pre-decimal section contains a very
useful array of ACSC listed specialised material with many
middle range highlights including a rare 1937 Lyrebird Perf VG
(10-11) positional block of 12. The decimal section also
includes a particularly useful range of ACSC listed specialised
material.
The Australian colonies section contains some useful
Tasmanian revenue material whilst the Victorian section abounds
in useful lower value material with a standout 1882 2d mauve
perforation variety (SG211c) as a mounted mint separated pair
stated to only exist used
The British Commonwealth & World section has a
wide range of British Commonwealth material in the range $2 to
$900 with a particularly useful range of SG listed varieties.
The standout item in this section is the rare mounted mint
1915-16 first watermark kangaroo 3d greenish-olive SG 76c as a
‘Type ABC’ strip of 3.
The World section has a couple of scarce Bulgarian
airmail sets, an extensive range of Republic of Togo thematic
material, useful empire Germany and Weimar republic noting the
scarce SG90 MUH and an extensive array of Danzig, including
some better specialised material. Also included is an array of
useful 1959-76 MUH thematic Hungary then useful early Italian
Colonies including Trieste and San Marino.
